Your Gifts in Action
The projects below represent just a few of the many initiatives made possible thanks to the generous support of our donors in Israel and abroad. Your vital contributions enable us to offer more advanced, comprehensive, and effective rehabilitation services to all our patients, soldiers and civilians, children, and adults.
Fitness Center in the memory of Master Sgt. (res.) Dan Weidenbaum z"l
Thanks to your donations, the Dan Weidenbaum Fitness Center at Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center was renovated and expanded. It now features a professional, fully equipped space designed for intensive individual and group training. The facility includes advanced equipment, free weights, strength machines, new locker rooms, all full accessible. A modern, inviting atmosphere and the support of expert staff empower patients to build strength and improve their physical function.
Scholarships for Academic Studies and Vocational Training
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we provide scholarships for academic studies, vocational training, and preparatory courses for higher education to soldiers and victims of terror who have been treated at Loewenstein since the outbreak of the Iron Swords war. These scholarships empower our patients to rebuild their future by gaining an education, learning a profession, and pursuing their goals and dreams. The support also encourages them to take meaningful steps toward returning to a full, active, and independent life. Every donation to this ongoing initiative helps us increase our impact and continue to assist IDF soldiers and civilian war casualties even after they have completed their treatment program at Loewenstein.

We also acquired innovative occupational therapy equipment such as Armeo Spring Pro, MYRO® and VAST. Rehab which enable the improvement of motor, cognitive, and sensory abilities through personalized training, thereby leading to meaningful progress in patients’ daily functioning, independence, and overall quality of life.
The Rehabilitation Kitchen in Memory of Sgt. Maj. (res.) David Schwartz z"l
The rehabilitation kitchen is a unique therapeutic space where patients cook together, practice daily living skills, and recreate the memories, flavors, and warmth of home. In addition to enhancing motor skills and functional abilities, the kitchen fosters social connections and a sense of belonging. Through simple, everyday activities, patients rediscover joy, rebuild confidence, and regain a sense of independence.
Extended Therapy Hours and the Integration of Complementary Treatments
The events of October 7 and the continuous state of war have necessitated the expansion of rehabilitation services for wounded soldiers and civilians far beyond what is covered by public funding. Thanks to generous donations, we have been able to provide thousands of additional hours of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and more, extending well beyond the standard scope of care.
We have also integrated complementary therapies not included in the national health basket, such as acupuncture, art therapy, horticultural therapy, and animal-assisted therapy. These treatments support both the physical and emotional aspects of healing, forming an integral part of the holistic rehabilitation process.
We continue to provide exceptional care thanks to the staunch support of our friends and donors across Israel and around the world.
