Children and Adolescents

Because a child’s laughter is no small thing

The Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center cares for infants, children and adolescents who are dealing with significant injuries caused by accidents, illnesses, terrorist attacks and more. Our medical teams support these young patients and their families throughout their entire journey from hospitalization through rehabilitation treatments to reintegration into the community. Alongside doctors and nurses, the department is staffed by a broad team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, rehabilitation psychologists, social workers and more, all working towards the shared goal of restoring each child’s independence, ability to function, confidence, and smile.

Your donations allow us to offer, in addition to advanced medical care, a vital rehabilitation support package that includes activities designed to maintain daily routine, encourage cognitive and social engagement, and strengthen both body and spirit.

Gifts dedicated to our pediatric and adolescent patients help renovate and expand the Center’s school; provide complementary therapies such as therapy dogs, and pony-driven cart rides; fund the purchase equipment and toys that promote motor development through play; and support celebrations and events that enhance emotional well-being for both patients and their families.
