Soldiers and Other Security Forces

Since the outbreak of the Iron Swords War, more than 20,000 IDF soldiers and members of the security forces have been wounded. Many of them suffer from complex, multi-system injuries that require long-term physical, functional, and emotional rehabilitation. At the forefront of this effort is the Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center, which has been providing rehabilitative care to hundreds of soldiers since the outbreak of the war; in light of the ongoing fighting, it continues to prepare for the admission of additional patients.

There is a constant need for donations to support equipment, treatments, and essential services that are not covered by government funding but are critical to optimal rehabilitation. These include extending treatment hours at the center; upgrading therapy spaces and acquiring advanced medical equipment; expanding the rehabilitative kitchen, where patients cook together and practice basic motor skills through shared activity; and more.

In addition, guided by the understanding that true rehabilitation also means building a future, the foundation provides scholarships for academic studies and professional training to soldiers treated at Loewenstein since the outbreak of the war. These scholarships help them return to their studies, gain a profession, and rebuild independent, stable lives. They are awarded as supplementary funding alongside support from the Ministry of Defense and other sources; the average annual scholarship is approximately ₪10,000.

Alongside this, the Resilience and Rehabilitation Fund supports soldiers and their families, recognizing that a serious injury affects the entire family. Through the fund, we offer tailored support for families accompanying a loved one through prolonged rehabilitation, including accessible family getaways, special meals at the hospital, and opportunities to take part in cultural activities. All support is adapted to the soldier’s medical condition and guided by the understanding that when families are stronger, patient recovery is more effective.

Your support for our soldiers and members of the security forces is vital. It allows us to maintain the high standard of rehabilitation required over extended periods—for those to whom we owe so much.

Donate now—and be part of their journey back to life.
