Israel is at War

Over 5,000 people have been injured in the horrific 10/7 Hamas attack on Israel. Their
rehabilitation journey begins at Loewenstein Medical Center.
Help us to mobilize quickly
to receive this unprecedented influx of war patients.

Who We Are?

Welcome to the Friends of Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center. Established in 1985, we support the growth and success of Israel’s leading Rehabilitation Center to rebuild shattered lives and transform pain into purpose.

At Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center, cutting-edge medical innovations, a world-class team of multidisciplinary experts, and personalized care come together to create a haven of healing and rehabilitation.

Our focus is on enhancing the well-being of diverse patients, from IDF soldiers to civilians, children, and adults, all battling through head injuries, strokes, spinal injuries, and orthopedic challenges caused by accidents, acts of terror, or illnesses. Many of these individuals spend months or even years at our Center.

We strive to provide the crucial equipment, accessories, and advanced medical devices necessary for their journey toward recovery – filling the gap where public funding falls short. Join us in being a source of strength and support for these brave people and their families.

Loewenstein Medical Center is a JCI – Joint Commission International accredited Hospital. JCI is the recognized global leader in health care accreditation.

Israel is at War

Due to the current situation in Israel, the Friends Association is raising money for the Loewenstein Rehabilitation Center, in light of the many injured, both soldiers and civilians, who will require rehabilitation at the Center.

As a leading rehabilitation center, the Loewenstein Rehabilitation Center of the Clalit Group is preparing to admit many patients who are currently hospitalized in general hospitals throughout Israel and who will need rehabilitation treatment. The management of the Center, together with all of its interdisciplinary staff: rehabilitation doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, dieticians and psychologists, are making all of the necessary preparations for the immediate admittance of patients according to different types of injuries and the various specialist units at the Loewenstein Center: Orthopedics, Brain Injuries, Spinal Injuries and Intensive Care for Consciousness Rehabilitation.

Dr Hagay Amir, Director of the Loewenstein Rehabilitation Center: “We are coordinating with the IDF Homefront Command, the Rehabilitation Department of the Ministry of Health and the Supreme Authority for Hospitalization and we are ready for the immediate admittance of the injured. The Loewenstein Hospital took part in the national response during the Yom Kippur War, and we are ready to do so once again. At this time, we wish to strengthen the Israel Defense Force, we stand with the families who yearn for the return of their loved ones from captivity, we send wishes of Refuah Shleima to the wounded and our condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the evil attack. Through unity and doing good we will maintain our resilience at the rear and at the front”.

We would be grateful for your assistance with any possible donation.

With thanks and appreciation,

Shiri Mazor
