Therapeutic Garden

Nurturing growth through rehabilitation

The therapeutic garden at Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center needs renovation to expand its therapeutic capacity and impact.  An integral part of the Occupational Therapy Institute, the garden offers a unique environment for sensory stimulation, moderate physical activity, cognitive training and emotional empowerment, key components of the rehabilitation journey. Supervised by a certified and experienced therapeutic gardener, it supports a wide range of patient needs.

Gardening activities help develop fine and gross motor skills, improve coordination and cognitive functions such as memory, attention and concentration; and stimulate the sensory system. Gardening also allows patients to observe processes involving growth, challenges, and perseverance. Patients become caregivers, take on responsibility and give back, thus rebuilding their self-esteem and confidence. Gardening also promotes physical and psychological resilience.

Your support will enable the Loewenstein Rehabilitation Medical Center to renovate, expand and equip its therapeutic garden, ensuring it is fully adapted to meet the diverse motor and cognitive rehabilitation needs of patients.
